To inform, educate and support dachshund enthusiasts, promoting the

health and welfare of all six dachshund varieties in the UK, and

encouraging breeders and judges to adhere to the correct breed type.

NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The Annual General Meeting of The Dachshund Club will be held preceding the Open Show held in 2026 at The Kennel Club Buildings, Stoneleigh Park on Sunday 15th March 2026 at 10am.

Please send agenda item to the honorary secretary no later than Sunday 15th February 2026.

Election of Officers:

Mr Lloyd Cross, Honorary Secretary is prepared to stand again and does not require re-nomination.

Mrs Lynn Black, Honorary Treasurer is prepared to stand again and does not require re-nomination.

Mr Richard O’Connell, Public Relations Officer is prepared to stand again and does not require re-nomination.

Election of committee

Mrs Linda Coverley and Dr Manish Chauhan retire by rotation but are prepared to stand again and do not require renomination.

Mrs Laura Sexton has retired from the Dachshund Club committee due to taking up the role of Secretary for the Wirehaired Dachshund Club – we therefore have 1 vacancy on the committee. Please send any nominations for the committee by email to Mr Lloyd Cross, honorary secretary no later than 1st February 2026, ensuring that your candidate has been a member of the Club for at least 2 years, is willing to stand and is proposed and seconded. Please submit a short CV for candidates indicating length of time in the breed, specific committee experience and other special interests and experience etc. If necessary, ballot papers will be circulated.

SUBSCRIPTIONS

Only fully paid-up members are entitled to make nominations, attend the AGM, and cast votes.

ALL MEMBERS PLEASE NOTE

Membership runs from 1st January to 31st December, and subscriptions are due on the 1st Jan each year. If your subscriptions are outstanding, please pay by bank transfer or ideally set up a standing order with your bank. Details are on the membership page on the Club website.
